Interview Language Style

Interview Language Style Analysis

From the magazine that I purchased there is an interview on Joe Sugg and 'How youtube changed my life?'. Within this article it is mainly about how Joe has became successful through the world of media.

Within the interview itself the language is very simple and isn't over complicated by using technical words, the questions are very simple and link onto each other to enable a flow within the article. There is once again the use of pink text for the question and the black text for any answers, this is so the reader can easily tell the difference by eye without having to read the whole article. The beginning of the article is about how Joe feels towards fame and being successful along with how we got to this stage, the interview then become more about himself, the fans and how he makes his videos, continued by more personal gossip and relationships that he would have with other members of the 'vlogger' world. Then ending with information about himself that he may not have published online and which could be seen as 'exclusive' to shout.
The interview also mentions family members and if they are proud of how Joe and his sister have become famous through their vlogging channels. This would be seen as a keep aspect to younger females for an attractive older male to have a good relationship with his family as that is one of the stereotypes of 'what a females wants in a male'. Throughout the article they also have the 'key phases' taken out of Joe's answers and put in-between the columns in black circles with white text to ensure that these stand out to the reader so these are one of the first things they read about Joe and how he has 'a very very nice sister!' and 'I play loads of pranks...' giving the reader and insight to how Joe works and uses these key phases to encourage the audience to read this interview. His article is also located on page 8 and 9 therefore extremely far forwards in the 74 page magazine. Joe's article is also the first fully written page within the magazine once again making the reader stop and pay attention to these pages as all the pages before are mainly images with a very limited amount of text within the page.

The layout of the article is very simple and straight forward with easy navigation around the interview itself. The top half of the page is simply introducing Joe with a large title with a large picture across half the page (horizontally) with smaller framed images to the right of Joe himself and one or two of Joe with someone else. There is also a background to the article text and behind the smaller framed pictures - a very simple square affect that stops the page looking boring, it also gives that extra details behind the text for the audience to look at and to attract the audience in.
